KLINGER Graphite Laminated Sheeting

Klinger graphite based gasket materials are suitable for use at temperature from -200°C up to 460°C and offers resistance against a broad range of chemicals.

Klinger Graphite PSM/AS

PSM/AS is a graphite material laminated with a 0.1mm thickness tanged stainless steel 316 insert. The insert aids material handling properties and also increases the blow-out resistance. The insert is mechanically bonded to the graphite and does not rely on adhesive. PSM/AS is finished with an anti-stick finish developed to aid removal from the flange even after use at elevated temperatures.

PSM is fire-safe to API 6FB

Klinger Graphite SLS/AS

SLS/AS is a laminated graphite material with a 0.05mm thickness stainless steel 316 foil insert to aid handling. The insert is bonded to the graphite by means of an adhesive and is easier to cut than PSM/AS. SLS/AS is also finished with an anti-stick coating.

High Temperatures

High temperature sealing applications, such as those in waste gas and engine operations, require a gasket material that is capable of maintaining a long-term seal at temperatures often in excess of 500°C. At these temperatures, conventional gasket materials suffer from rapid thermal degradation which precludes their use as a component in gasket materials.

Klinger offer a range of high temperature gasket products capable of withstanding temperatures above 500°C and up to 1000°C. These materials exhibit low weight loss at high temperatures and provide high integrity seals at temperatures beyond the normal range of conventional gasket materials.

KLINGERmilam-PSS

KLINGERmilam-PSS is an asbestos free sealing material based on mica reinforced with stainless steel tanged insert. It is specifically designed for hot, dry gas applications up to 900°C and 5 bar. However, the outstanding chemicals resistance of mica makes the gasket suitable for a wide range of other applications.

Klinger Ferrofex SP/AF-II

Klinger SP/AF-II is an aramid fibre based gasket material with NBR binder with a tanged metallic insert to aid handling and blow-out properties. It has excellent oil and fuel resistance combined with good stress relaxation and high temperature resistance.

Typical applications include carburettor and diesel engines e.g. exhaust manifold, oil pan and heat shield.

 KLINGER Top-Line Modified PTFE Sheeting

Klinger Top-Line is a range of asbestos-free sealing products comprising compressed fibre and modified PTFE materials designed to cater for the majority of gasket applications.

Top-Sil-ML1

A unique multilayer material designed to utilise the benefits of NBR and HNBR rubbers. NBR is used in the binder system for many compressed fibre grades due to its good chemical and temperature resistance and good binding properties and is used for the main body of Top-Sil-ML1. HNBR offers greatly improved resistance to thermal degradation and is used in the top and bottom layers to protect the main body of the material from thermal degradation. This multilayer structure affords the material improved temperature resistance and is able to main flexibility when used at higher temperatures than the majority of compressed fibre materials.
